VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
JJ: My goals this year are to try to get noticed by college scouts or to really find what I’m interested in doing for the rest of my life.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
JJ: I always would have loads of fun on the bus rides home after a late game and the team all bonding regardless of a win or loss.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
JJ: My all time favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Wallace, my FFA teacher. He is my favorite teacher because of the huge impact he has made on my life and I wouldn’t have ever made it to where I am without him.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
JJ: I would have to say that my favorite athletic memory would have to be when I was playing with my WSA team in the Heartland tournament in Kansas City and we won every game except for the final even though it was freezing cold we still have it everything we had and we almost pulled it off.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
JJ: I would have to say Martin Falcon because even though he is several years older than myself he has always been the kind of guy to make everybody feel welcomed and that’s a kind of person you don’t find often anymore.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
JJ: The best part about being on my high school team is probably the diversity on our team. We have people from all different backgrounds and some from different countries but at the end of the day we all come together and play as one.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
JJ: I would probably go to Cozumel, Mexico with my brother and my best friend. I have been to Cozumel once before and it’s definitely an experience I will never forget.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
JJ: I would have to say that I would go to a mall or shopping center and but my friends and family gifts to show how much they mean to me.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
JJ: In FFA we have lots of community service activities such as volunteering at daycares and nursing homes as well as several other things.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
JJ: I am a part of the color guard in the marching band. I’m joined because I wanted to be able to spend more time with my brother, who is a drum major, and last year when I wasn’t involved I hardly got to spend time with him.
VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
JJ: I am not currently involved with and academic excellence activities.
