CONGRATULATIONS to Lady Tiger junior Zoie Griffin who was just named the Gatorade Oklahoma Softball Player of the Year for 2025-26.
After a recording-setting freshman year at Wagoner, Zoie transferred to Tahlequah last spring and helped lead the Lady Tigers to the Class 5A state semifinals this year.
Ranked by Softball America as the number 69 prospect in the nation, Zoie pitched 155 innings posting a 0.77ERA with 301 strikeouts and a 20-3 record on the season while batting .413 for Tahlequah.
“Since she arrived here, she assumed leadership role because she has an infectious personality that positively resonates with her teammates,” said her coach Chris Ray.
Zoie still has a year left as a Tiger and then will attend Texas A&M to further her softball career.
